Did you know?
Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) lasts for 54 days: Oct. 15 - Dec. 7 each year.
Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period (OEP) lasts for 3 months: Jan. 1 - March 31 each year.
You get Medicare Part A premium-free if you've worked at least 10 years (40 quarters) while paying Medicare taxes.
Medicare does not cover all your medical expenses. You must find the right plan that fits for your individual needs.
First time Medicare enrollees (known as your initial enrollment period - IEP) have 7 months to enroll...you read right SEVEN. The breakdown:
3 months prior to your 65th birthday
the month of your 65th birthday
3 months after your 65th birthday
Those who MISS their initial enrollment period (IEP) may have to pay a "Late Enrollment Penalty" (LEP) for LIFE and may have to wait a year or more to enroll in Medicare.
